BRC Wayne’s World Club Trip 2025
Date: 6th September 2025
Location: Wayne’s World
“Party on, Dude”
Wayne’s World is without a doubt Geoff’s favourite go-to crag, so on a most excellent sunny September Saturday, Geoff White led our merry party of dudes to Wayne’s World, the somewhat hidden but shady crag at the base of the mighty Mt Beerwah.
The Crag
Wayne’s World is perhaps one of the most under-rated sport climbing areas in the Glass House Mountains. It’s a great beginner to intermediate climbing area on Mt Beerwah, accessible via a 20min – 30min walk if you know the way. Recently re-bolted with modern ringbolts, it features mostly sport climbing around grade 16-21, with a couple of carrots and handful of mixed or trad routes if you’re feeling brave. Some routes have two pitches, offering opportunity for multi-pitch climbing, although these are mostly on trad protection. Routes are long so a 70m rope is a nice to have, but mossie repellent is a must, the evil little vampires here are hungry.
Trip wrap up
We had a great turn out for this trip, the big BRC family united, sharing sends, stories and shenanigans. It was perfect weather for sending and the views enjoyed from the top, spectacular!
After a most Excellent day on the rock, it was time to stumble home. Despite the short walk in following Geoff through what seemed an obvious trail, was not so on the way out for many. As we bush bashed our way down, up and down again trying to find the trail, we swore to pay more attention on the way in next time.
Climb on Dude!
