BRC Glenreagh long weekend 2026
Date: 2-5th October 2026
Location: Glenreagh
This year, for the King’s Birthday long weekend in October, BRC crew ventured further afield South over the border to Glenreagh. The rude awakening of daylight savings did its best to confuse us Queenslanders and rob us from an extra hours snooze, but didn’t stop us from sending.
The Crag
About 45 minutes NW of Coffs Harbour, the Glenreagh area offers an extensive sandstone escarpment with more than ten established crags. On this trip, club members explored three different crags, Fun Palour, Waihoo and 354 wall, with each crag offering a mix of sport, trad and mixed routes for extra spice. After we were climbed out, we headed to Scouts Falls for a cold plunge before going back to camp at Glenreagh Recreation Reserve for dinner around the campfire. Some classic 80’s tunes were sung and some funky dance moves busted out. Another successful BRC club trip of climbing, camping and campfire shenanigans.
