  • Blue Mts Trip - Easter 2013 Well all one can say is -  A Very Successful 10 days of climbing. Everyone who went had a great time. We all got to do some awesome climbs, pushed our grades and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Not even some drizzle on 2 days stopped the climbing, as we climbed in the wet mist till it turned to rain then headed for the overhangs of Centennial Glen. The highlight for Julian, Nick , Ashley and myself was cruising Bunny Bucket Buttress, a grade 18, 270m 8 pitch climb at the uber Pierces Pass. Just AWESOME, with photos and video to come. Ashley was very spoilt as this was his first ever multipitch. Nick's whoops of joyous fun as he rounded the roof ...

  • 2013  A big hello to all Climbers for 2013The committee is meeting next week to finalise the 2013 trips for the club. Lots of people are keen so it should be a good year. 2012 was a big year for the club with over 100 members and a number of very successful trips including China. A note that subscriptions are now due. Mostly though have fun on the rock throughout the year, no matter what you are climbing or where and remember to be safe. Always pay attention to the details, whether you are toproping, seconding or leading.Your 2013 committee

  • China Trip is here After a number of incredibly successful trips since Easter 2012, the China trip leaves tomorrow 20-10.The club has had record turnouts for the Girraween, Frog, Red Cliffs/Goanna Point, Brooyar and Urbenville trips. Can't believe the number of climbers getting out there onto the crags and enjoying their climbing.Any way, we fly out of Brissie tomorrow morning for 2 weeks of climbing in Yangshuo. David and Nigel have laptops so we'll keep the pics and info flowing, mostly via the facebook page.

  • Kaputar & Warrumbungles Well the Easter trip is over and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the climbing. We sports climbed ourselves silly on the Friday at Lindesay Rocks then trad climbed classics at Euglah Rock and The Governor on the Saturday and Sunday. For me it was the best Kaputar trip ever. Onsighting Yummikins (17) and The Last Waltz (18) at Euglah were definite highlights, along with leading Clandestiny (16).I'm sure everyone will have there favourite story and climb. Just ask.Eddie and I then headed to the Warrumbungles where we packed it up to Balor hut and the next day climbed a gem called Vertigo. Pitch 2 & 3 are worth the hike in. The next day Dave and Ricarda joined us and ...
