re-established in its present form in 1987 as a means of promoting
communication and social interactions between climbers.

Have you booked your Giraween and Brooyar Campsites?
If you are planning to join the club for the trip to Giraween you should think about booking your campsite very soon. It is currently 60% booked out on the Saturday and Sunday nights and nearly always books out well before the week-end. The availablility at Brooyar is currently good but a group booking can change that very quickly.

Clean-Up Australia Day Sunday 7 March 2010 at Kangaroo Point
It would be great to see as many members as possible help out. The BRC will help clean up the top of the K.P. cliff between the wall and cliff, as part of the K2 Extreme team. Bring safety gear (a harness, belay device binners, and safety tie in rope), as well as a hat and sunscreen. Wear sturdy shoes as some sharp objects (needles) can be encounter. Opportunities to climb outside Brisbane 28 February 10Slider Wall, Mt Tibrogargan. This Sunday Dennis has invited a small group of subscibers to climb at Slider Wall.The first 6 to 8 that apply will get to go. Climbs are mainly bolted. There are only 5 climbs below 17, then one each at 17, 18 and 19. The remainder are above grade 21. MaroonNext weekend on Sunday 13, the BRC trip is scheduled for Viewpoint Buttress on Mt Maroon.
Maroon is a half hour past Frog (so 1.5 to 2 hours south west of Brisbane)
Let the committee know if you are interested.
It is trad gear with the lower grades being 16-18. There is only a couple climbs below this grade.
Please reply by Tuesday evening so I can finalise planning in case another venue is needed.We're also still looking for recent trip photos

We now a decent sized party going.Nowra - September 20 (Sun)- Sept. 26 (Sat)
Nowra climbing is steep (vertical) climbing on short sandstone cliffs and has a lot of hard climbing. locationmap
Don't be put off by that as it is mainly sports climbing with
enough easier & mid grades to keep everyone busy for a five day
stay, without having to climb grade 20 or more.
